Are you a new writer looking for help and encouragement? Or an experienced writer ready to take the next step on your writing journey?

West Coast Christian Writers (WCCW) is here for you. We’ve been there, and we know how to help you get to the next level and connect with a strong community of Christian writers. Since the beginning, WCCW is known for high-value teaching, expert speakers and mentors, hands-on help, and innovation.

One of the hallmarks of a West Coast Christian Writers Conference is a quality faculty of industry professionals – agents, editors, authors, and marketing and business experts – chosen to represent the diversity in publishing methods, genres, interests, and ethnicities our writers represent. Plus, the conference organizers are friends and when you attend, either online or in-person, you become a friend too!

SPECIAL RECOGNITION GOLDIE AWARDS
  • God’s Word is Alive Award (for an author who has published an excellent Bible study, devotional, or book that brings the Bible to life in a unique way): Awarded to Mary DeMuth
  • Unsung Hero Award (given to an individual who selflessly serves the Christian writing community): Awarded to Penny Childers
  • Mentor of the Year (an industry professional, such as an editor, agent, or career author, who is a gifted and dedicated mentor to up and coming writers. Past recipients are Wendy Lawton, Lauraine Snelling): Awarded to Bob Hostetler
  • Promising New Writer (for standout writing, with nominations from coaching and critique submissions): Awarded to Kimberly Lavoie
  • Author of the Year (an outstanding author in the WCCW community, distinguished by excellence and innovation. This author must be published within the last two years.): Awarded to Holly Varni
