West Coast Christian Writers (WCCW) is a nonprofit writing community that offers fellowship, workshops, and an annual conference for writers at all levels. Known for expert speakers and teachers, with a flair for innovation and forward thinking, WCCW is committed to serving the community of Christian writers in all of its richness and diversity. We help our writers thrive by supporting their next faith-filled step in the writing journey.
The annual West Coast Christian Writers conference has a reputation for high-value teaching, expert speakers and mentors, hands-on help, a welcoming atmosphere, and innovation. Our faculty members are industry professionals – agents, editors, authors, and marketing and business experts – chosen to represent a variety of publishing methods, genres, interests, and ethnicities.
2025 CONFERENCE INFO
Author and literary agent Barb Roose is a Bible teacher who loves following God more than anything else in life. She’s the author of many books and Bible studies, is part of the (In)Courage writing team and Girlfriends in God writing team, and has been featured in several magazines and blogs. Before her transition to full-time speaking and writing, Barb served on staff at CedarCreek Church in Perrysburg, OH for 14 years on the executive leadership and teaching teams.
Barb lives in NW Ohio and she is the proud mom to three adult children. Barb enjoys traveling, reading, walking, and whenever possible, she prefers to eat dessert first.
