LIT Masterclass Q & A
Q: What is LIT Masterclass?
A: This is a special two-day conference, limited to 65 people only, and put on by West Coast Christian Writers Conference. We host LIT every other year, and it’s geared to intermediate-to-advanced writers.
Q: Since LIT is for intermediate-to-advanced writers, how do I know if I’m qualified?
A: If you’ve ever been to a writers conference or workshop before (including online), then you are qualified! Chances are, if you’re reading this right now, you are qualified and we can’t wait to see you in February!
Q: What does “LIT” mean?
A: Ha, good question! LIT is a slang word that used to mean “intoxicated,” but has come to mean “exciting.” It’s also short for “Literature.” It also means hot or burning, as in a fire. We’re hoping LIT is all of these for you (and by intoxicated, WE mean intoxicated with writing and the possibilities of your own writing journey.)
Q: How is LIT different from the two-day West Coast Christian Writers Conference?
A: LIT is smaller and even friendlier than our bigger conference, and designed to give you some personal attention from our amazing faculty and coaches.
Q: What is a “Circle”? And will I be able to choose the one I want to be in?
A: A Circle is a small group of 8 people, focussed on a specialized topic or genre, and led by an experienced and wise faculty coach. You’ll spend Friday with your Circle. When you register, you’ll get the chance to pick your first, second, and third choice. BONUS: On Friday you’ll also experience an agent-hosted Round Table experience!
Q: Why should I sign up for LIT?
A: LIT is designed to help you make strong connections with the faculty, board, and other attendees, who will help you get to the next step in your writing journey. Plus, the sooner you sign up, the more likely you are to get your first choice of Circle.
