With your In-Person Registration Pass, you have three different ways to meet a professional agent, editor, or published author. We do have a limited number of appointments, so register early! First come, first served.
1. Agent & Editor Appointments—Individual Sessions ($40)
The opportunity to connect with agents is an important part of our WCCW Conference. Our faculty includes some of the top editors and literary agents in the industry. You will have the opportunity to make fifteen-minute individual appointments with an editor or agent. These will be held both in-person at the conference and virtually (conducted by phone or online).
When you register, you’ll be asked to select the editor or agent you’d like to meet with. Please visit the faculty page to read their bios and see what sort of genres and topics they’re open to discuss.
If you’d like an agent or editor appointment, you must register by January 31, 2022.
2. Coaching and Critique Appointments—Individual Sessions (free with in-person registration)
Would you like feedback on your writing from a published author? Your in-person registration pass includes one free coaching and critique appointment! These are optional, but we hope you take advantage of this opportunity.
If you choose to participate, you will submit a 1000-word writing sample, which must be received by January 31, 2022. At the conference, a faculty member will meet with you in person for 15 minutes to give you feedback and discuss next steps for you and your writing.
When you register, you’ll be asked to select the faculty member you’d like to meet with. Please visit the freelance faculty page to read their bios and see what sort of genres and topics they’re open to review. If you’d like a coaching and critique appointment, you must register by January 31, 2022. Submission guidelines will be included in your registration confirmation email.
If you have any questions, please contact Jan Kern at firstname.lastname@example.org.
