Workshop

Developing a Writing Voice (General Craft): What makes a reader come back to an author’s works again and again? A writer’s “voice” is that quality that makes his or her work instantly recognizable and that gives the writing life, personality and authority. A distinctive voice can be developed. This session will show writers how to discover and hone their own writing voice.

CREW

Constructing the Nonfiction Book: This workshop will help you hone the structure and purpose of your nonfiction book, whether you are just getting started or already have a draft. It will emphasize the importance of the first chapter, which should contain key elements that provide direction for the entire book. The workshop combines teaching, handouts, brainstorming and critique.
